Graduate Innovation Center based on Bio-fuel Small Turbine Engine Technology

School of Power and Energy built Graduate Innovation Center based on Bio-fuel Small Turbine Engine Technology in 2011, following the new trends of smaller gas turbine engines and renewable fuels for future aerospace industry. The Center aims to help the students improve the ability of practice, research, communication and teamwork. Focusing on the new energy and small gas turbine engines, the Center encourages the students to choose any projects in which they are interested and conduct deep research in so as to make innovative results in aerospace and new energy sector.

Students in the Center are able to assemble and break down engines, measure the performance of mini gas turbines on mobile test rig, design bio-fuel combustor and record the data. Through the training in the Center, students will get a good vision of combustion theory, aero engine structure and aerodynamics.
